Session Types and Offerings

Do you have a studio?

I don’t own a personal studio, but I work with several beautiful studios across Ottawa and Gatineau. A list of studio options is provided upon booking, and you can select the one that best fits your vision. I will book the studio on your behalf, and the rental fee will be added directly to your invoice. Please note that studio availability is not guaranteed—spaces book up quickly, so early booking is strongly recommended to secure your preferred date and time.

Do you offer home photoshoots?

Yes! Home sessions are available as long as the space is clean, spacious, and has good natural light. A travel fee applies if the location is more than 20km from downtown Ottawa. Clients are responsible for preparing the space prior to the session.

Do you shoot outdoors?

Yes, I do! Outdoor sessions are available year-round, weather permitting. We can choose a location together based on your vision and the time of year.

Do you do events?

Absolutely! I cover events such as graduations, birthdays, baby showers, and more. Please complete the event inquiry form so I can get all the necessary details and provide a tailored quote.

Do you offer mini sessions?

Mini sessions are seasonal and offered only a few times per year. They are not available year-round. Follow me on Instagram or sign up for email updates to be notified when they launch.

Booking Process & Logistics

Can I change outfits during the session?

30-minute sessions (and mini sessions) allow for one outfit only. If you’d like to change outfits, a 60-minute session is required. Let me know in advance if you have special requests.

Is my session confirmed once we talk?

No. A session is only confirmed once both the contract is signed and the deposit is received. Discussions or inquiries alone do not secure your spot.

How do I check your availability?

My availability calendar is regularly updated and can be viewed directly on the booking page. You can book up to 3 months in advance. If a date is greyed out, it means I’m either fully booked or away on vacation. There’s no need to email to check—everything that’s available will be shown on the calendar.

What’s the best way to contact you? Can I call or text you?

Email is the best way to get in touch with me. DMs on social media are not monitored regularly, and I don’t share my personal phone number. However, if a phone consultation is needed, I’m happy to schedule a call at a mutually convenient time.

Do you provide backgrounds or props?

Studios typically come equipped with basic setups and furniture. For themed sessions, I may bring additional props or style the set myself—just let me know what you have in mind when booking.

Do you provide RAW images?

No. RAW files are not shared under any circumstances, as stated in the contract. You will receive high-resolution edited images based on your selections.

How many edited photos will I receive?

Each package includes a set number of edited images. You'll receive a proof gallery to select your favourites. Additional images are available at $5 each.

How long is the editing process?

For regular portrait sessions, the editing turnaround time is around 10-15 business days (approximately 2 weeks) from the date you select your photos. For event photography, the turnaround time is typically 3 to 4 weeks due to the larger volume of images. If you require expedited delivery, rush editing may be available for an additional fee—please inquire when booking.

How do I select my photos?

After your session, you’ll receive a watermarked proof gallery. You can select your favourites by clicking the heart icon on each image. Instructions will be included in the email. Once your selections are submitted, editing begins.

Can I purchase additional images?

Yes! Additional edited images can be purchased at $5 per photo. You can make your selections directly from your proof gallery, and I’ll invoice you for the extras before editing.

Do you offer gift certificates?

Yes, gift certificates are available and make a great gift for birthdays, baby showers, or holidays. Reach out by email to request one and customize the session type.

What if I’m late to my session?

Respecting the scheduled time is very important. Arriving late will reduce your session time, as many shoots are carefully timed around other bookings or events. Accommodations cannot always be made or guaranteed, so please plan to arrive on time and fully prepared.

Can you recommend a makeup artist (MUA)?

At the moment, I don’t have a list of makeup artists to recommend. If you are a makeup artist and would like to be considered for future referrals, feel free to reach out by email and share your portfolio. I’m happy to review it and, if it aligns, make your services available to clients who inquire.

Do you offer videography services?

No, I currently do not offer videography services. My focus is strictly on photography. However, if you’re looking for a videographer, I recommend sourcing someone who specializes in that area to ensure the best quality and experience.

Can I bring someone with me to the session?

Yes, you’re welcome to bring one support person (a friend, parent, partner, etc.) to your session if it makes you more comfortable. For family sessions, only those being photographed should attend unless previously discussed.

Do you provide a mood board or inspiration guide?

Yes! I create a Pinterest board for each session to help guide the look and feel of the shoot. If you already have your own mood board, feel free to share it with me. If you’d like access to the Pinterest board I’ve curated for your session ahead of time, just let me know—I'd be happy to share it with you.

Can you help me with branding or planning my session from a branding perspective?

While I’m happy to offer input and advice, I am not a branding expert or a branding photographer. I encourage clients to come with a clear vision already mapped out for their shoot. If you're looking for support with branding strategy, visuals, or storytelling, I’d be happy to connect you with photographers who specialize in branding.

Do you offer product photography?

I don’t offer traditional product photography (e.g., isolated product shots on a white background), but I do offer product placement photography as part of lifestyle sessions. This means your product is featured naturally within a styled shoot, showing it in use or in context. If that fits your vision, feel free to reach out so we can discuss the details!
